A quick update...

Just a quick update - in case anyone follows this, and doesn't follow me on fb.  Today, I jumped out of a plane.  Number, um, something or another on my list...the scariest thing by far, and TOTALLY amazing!!!!

Brette and I went to Skydive Snohomish.  Brette jumped tandem with Sonja, and I jumped with Todd.  This "trainee" Josh helped to get me "geared up" - and he was CUTE!!!!  hahaha.

Anyways, I was terrified, which you can see on the video, but it was AMAZING!!!  I said I want to do it again, but now that the rush is wearing off and the reminder of how terrified is setting in, I'm not too sure.  I think I'd like to try it one more time, but we'll see.  It was an awesome experience and I'll definitely never forget it!!!!

Pay It Forward Project

I ordered some cards earlier in the week to use for my "Pay it Forward" project, and I just got got them today, so now I can get started!!!  Of course, the easiest way for me to do something is to buy someone's drink in the starbucks drive thru...so I guess that means I'm going to starbucks!!!  Oh darn.  Hehehe.  Anyways, I got two different designs, though, they're pretty similar.  Here they are!!!  And like I said, let me know if you want some!!!

Pay It Forward Project

One of the things on my 30-b4-30 list is a "Pay It Forward" project.  If you've seen the movie "Pay It Forward," you'll know what I'm talking about.  Basically, after the movie, a ton of projects started.  The premise of "pay it forward" is that someone does a random act of kindness for you...and in turn, you do a random act of kindness for someone else.  I've always wanted to actually undertake a project, but have never done it.  Now, though, I'm going to do it.  I set up a website and email address to help me manage everything, but before that can really get rolling, I needed some "Pay It Forward" cards.  It's kind of funny - if you google "Pay It Forward cards" you'll get a number of hits on different kinds of cards that people have made for their own projects.  Well, I've created my own cards, and by the end of the week I should have them.  So, I eagerly look forward to using them, and seeing how far this can go!

If you'd like to help me out with my project, let me know, and I can send you some cards once I get them!!!

Update :)

Beer 1 : Pyramid Hefeweizen

Beer 2 : Blue Moon
So, I just posted my list yesterday....but...I did accomplish one thing.  I tried my first beer today.  Actually, my first and my second.  It wasn't my most favorite thing in the world, but it also wasn't as bad as I was thinking it was going to be.  I still think I'm more of a fruity mixed drinks or mike's hard lemonade kinda person...but, hey, mission accomplished!

The first sip...

My 30-b4-30 list

On the week before my 29th birthday...and in the midst of all the craziness in my life...I finally decided to make a 30-b4-30 list, and actually do it.  Some of these things are silly (try beer...yes, im serious, i've never tried it before), some are crazy (skydiving?!?!?!), some are cultural (refresh my japanese speaking skills),  some are physical (push-ups!), and theres tons of everything in between.  Yes, I put "make a list" on a my list...you're always supposed to put that on any list you make! :)  And I put a few extras on there...in case I can't get one of my main goals done...I'm going to accomplish 30 things!!!
